Our love story began on September 1st, 2007 during our billionth walk around beautiful Baylor campus.  Ryan and I had served on the same Young Life team the year before (2006) - Sic'em Axtell Wyldlife!  It was then that I really started to fall for him.  I loved watching him interact, allow himself to be goofy, and share Christ with our middle school kiddos.

{This was the first picture we took together as a couple.  We had just returned from a date to the State Fair of Texas.}

We spent the next three years at Baylor together at Intramural games, Baylor Athletics events, Chi Omega dates and events, all creating an abundance of wonderful memories.  If I had to guess, more than half of my memories from college include Ry.  I like that a lot, too. :)

On December 20, 2011 Ryan popped the question during a fancy dinner, with my college roommate and her husband, at Abacus.  Ryan had gotten Chris and Allison to invite us to dinner because "Chris's friend had said this place was good and we should try it".  I remember thinking it was way to expensive for us and told Ryan we could totally suggest another place and just be honest that it was pretty expensive, but Ryan insisted that we go there.  After several courses (yeah... I told you this place was fancy!) Ryan stood up, took my hand, and asked me to stand up.  He pulled out his wallet (funny, right?) where he had stashed the ring because he was afraid I would feel it in his jacket pocket or that he might lose it.  He got down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant, said some sweet things neither of us can seem to remember, and asked me to be his wife.  I of course said YES!

I was told not to call or text anyone because there was still one more surprise.  Ryan took the four of us from Abacus to a trolley car on McKinney Avenue he had rented, decorated, and gotten our closest friends and family to gather there to celebrate!  Friends had flown in, both of our families were there, all our local friends were there.  I of course, lost it.  He is amazing, y'all.

It was by far the best day of my life until...

We were married on September 1st, 2012, our 5 year anniversary.  I'll say a wedding is a pretty great way to celebrate 5 years of joy!  I am now the proud, and lucky, wife to this sweet, Godly man.

We were married at beautiful Central Christian Church by Ryan's grandparents, who are Disciples of Christ ministers, and who were, at one point in time, the ministers of this church!

{Ryan's grandparents, Oran & Charlotte.  It was an honor, and privilege, to have them marry us.}

I new this man truly loved me when he agreed to do a choreographed first dance with me.  I didn't even have to ask twice, y'all.  He is such a trooper, and honestly stole the show!  Check out our sweet moves here. (Keep your eyes peeled near the end for his switch leap ... yes, my husband did a switch leap during our first dance.  Bet you can't say that. :))
