{21 Week/22 Week Bumpdate}
Well, since last week we were wrapping up the end of school and then I started being vacay Tay I let this little bumpdate slip by without even realizing it. So, lucky you, you get a two-fer!

Week 21

Week 22

Chalkboard Art:
Week 21

Week 22

My talented husband drew us some Christmas Border Collies this week. :)

Size of the Baby: Week 21 - 10.5 inches, 12.7 ounces - Size of a pomegranate

Week 22 - l0.5 - 11.8 inches, 12.7 - 20.8 ounces - Size of a Papaya
It's crazy to believe in the next 1-3 weeks our little boy will weigh a whole pound! We get to see him next Monday, so we'll get a better idea of how he's measuring, but it's still mind blowing that he's getting bigger and bigger.

Gender: Still a boy - Christopher Wesson ;)

Maternity Clothes: Enjoying the stretchy pants mom got for me, and since we're officially on Winter Break and Vacay Tay is back I've been lounging in mostly jeans, pj pants, loose shirts and yoga pants. I can't say it's been terrible. My mom gave me some maternity tops I can wear into the spring for Christmas that I'm really excited about and Ryan's mom gave me a cute jean tunic type shirt that will be great with leggings and can also be worn into the spring. I'm not going to lie... maternity clothes rock. They are comfortable and cute, and really flattering for my expanding belly.

Movement: Wesson was pretty quiet last week. I felt him a little in the classroom when I sat on the floor with my kids, or in a student sized chair, he didn't seem to be overly fond of it and he squirmed around. Otherwise, the only other time I've really felt him has been at the gym when we walked on the treadmill and did the elliptical. Sweet boy must be tired from all that growing he's doing!

He has been especially squirmy this week though. I felt him a ton on Christmas day and Ryan is starting to feel him more. He gave Daddy a big kick the other night before bed. In the bath I watch my stomach when I start feeling him move around hoping to catch glimpses of him making my belly move. Nothing yet, but I know we'll start to see that soon.

Sleep: Have been sleeping pretty well! Nothing to complain about.

Missing: Laying on my back to sleep and cider beer, but I'd hardly call that something complain-worthy.

Nursery: Ryan and I picked out paint for the nursery last weekend and Ryan painted a swatch on the wall for us to decide if we like it. We love it, of course. It's a light grey. If I haven't said it enough, I am so thankful for this sweet man of mine. He won't let me help because he doesn't want me inhaling the fumes. It's pretty sweet. Our carpets were cleaned two weeks ago too, and look fabulous! It has been fun to sit in Wesson's empty room and decide where we will put things. I love walking this journey with my wonderful husband.

Craving: Nothing specific.

Symptoms: Lower back pain and still enjoying that beautiful heartburn. I'm hoping that is a symptom that starts to dissipate rather quickly.

Ryan is: enjoying "nesting" with me as we get Wesson's nursery ready. Even though we're only just over halfway we know it'll fly by.

Looking forward to: setting up the nursery even more, getting some of the things we registered for, and preparing for our lives to be forever changed by our little man. It feels so incredibly real now.

Best Moments: While I wish I could say registering for Wesson was absolutely the most fun we've ever had, it was mainly super overwhelming. We were so grateful the Buy, Buy Baby workers were so helpful on the big items. Our lady was VERY knowledgable and had an answer to every question we asked. When it came time to register for the smaller, but still very important items, like bottles, pacifiers, and anything else like that we were completely stumped. I hadn't done any research about what bottles are best or anything like that so we picked one or two and just moved on or didn't register for anything at that time. Any suggestions from my mom friends are more than welcome!

I was rather impressed though with Ryan's skills at opening and shutting the different baby contraptions and for figuring out how to work them really quickly. He's a stud.

I am really loving this time of my pregnancy. I feel Wesson often, I'm getting bigger and have a defined bump so people don't just think I'm carrying holiday weight, maternity clothes are super comfy and cute, I don't feel so bad about all the holiday sweets I've guzzled (though I should probably slow down in the consumption of such items), and it's starting to feel very real that Ryan and I are going to become parents. I'm still very nervous, but mostly excited for our little baby to arrive. Christmas made it much more real when we thought, "Wow... this time next year we'll have an 8 month old!" Mind blown.

Time's a flyin', y'all!

Size of the Baby:
Gender:
IT'S A BOY!!!!
Christopher Wesson Nabors
will be moving into the Naborshood - expected arrival April 27, 2016.

Maternity Clothes: Rockin' the clothes I currently have. My belly is becoming more and more noticeable. Zippered jackets/vests are getting harder to close.

Movement: Little Wes is moving around pretty consistently. I feel him more when I'm sitting and we see him moving now when I am laying down. He was a wiggle worm at the sonogram, but was trying to find a comfortable way to sleep more than anything.

Sleep: LIKE A ROCK.

Missing: Alcohol. I really wanted to celebrate our baby boy with a drink in hand like many others, but alas that's not going to happen for another 4 1/2 months... if that!

Nursery: Now that we know it's a boy we can start thinking about what we want the nursery to look like, though in all honesty we haven't put a ton of thought into that up until now.

Craving: Notta.

Symptoms: Notta.

Ryan is: so stinking excited that we are having a little boy. I feel honored that I was able to give him a boy, you know other than the fact that I had ZERO control over that. I know he is so excited that the Nabors legacy will continue through our son and that whoever comes next will have a big brother to protect them. Y'all, he is on cloud 9.

Looking forward to: Planning the nursery and REGISTERING!

Best Moments: Revealing Christopher Wesson's gender to everyone! We could NOT be happier about our sweet baby boy.

Gender Reveal Party Pictures: We got lots of family and friends gathered at one of our favorite Thai Restaurants, Banana Leaf, to do our gender reveal. I had ordered these cute miniature boxes from Amazon and Ryan and I stuffed them with blue candy the day we found out it was Wesson and not Adair.

We waited until everyone ordered their food and then as we waited we handed these out. Ryan's Grandmother wrote an adorable poem about the gender reveal so she read it, and then we had everyone open their box at once. It was so wonderful to hear the squeals of excitement and see eyes get misty. We know little Wesson is already so loved by so many!

IT'S A BOY!
Christopher Wesson Nabors

Adorable bib from Lo. She was so thoughtful! She's expecting a boy in February, so now Nolan will have a bestie growing up! We're so excited!

Now on to the 20 Week Bumpdate because last week was rather busy and I couldn't get my life together.

{20 Week Bumpdate}
Whoaaaaaa we're halfway there! WHOA! Livin' on a prayer!! Come on... you knew I was bound to do that.
That bump is really starting to pop out!

Chalkboard Art:
If you can't tell, we're still over the moon!

Size of the Baby: 6.5 inches, 10.2 ounces - Size of a banana

Gender: Christopher Wesson, our little boy!

Maternity Clothes: Momma McD, or Granda to Wes, took me shopping on Saturday for some maternity clothes. She bought me a lot of tops/tunics that should last me through winter and through delivery, but I'm really struggling with bottoms these days, so that was our goal. She got me 2 pairs of maternity pants (grey and houndstooth), a pair of the world's softest PJ's with pants, a tank, and a robe that will be great for the lounging around Wesson and I have in store post-delivery, and a black zip up jacket with ruching on the side to help with the growing belly. I LOVE all of it! We didn't buy jeans since I have the two low paneled pair and 1 full paneled pair, but as the bump is getting bigger I'm likely going to have to invest in another pair of full-paneled jeans. I am so grateful to Momma McD for spoiling me and my bump! Love you, Mom!

Movement: Wesson was moving like crazy earlier on in the week, but has settled down a bit towards the end of the week. We can tell his movements more easily when I'm lying down or sitting. He's been active during the day which is nice because we're both getting great sleep during the night.

Sleep: Pretty good. My back has been pretty sore and my bladder pretty full this week, so I've been tossing and turning and getting up in the middle of the night to pee, but unfortunately that's all pretty normal. Also, thank the LORD for the snoogle. That is all I will say. I'm not sure if I'll give it up once I'm done being pregnant.

Missing: Sleeping on my back. That sounds silly to miss, but it is seriously the most comfortable position for me and it's killing me to have to sleep on my sides.

Nursery: We've decided to go with a woodsy theme for Wesson's nursery. It'll have grey walls that I hope to paint over the break, the white crib, glider, and hopefully a white dresser for his clothes that can double as a changing table. I currently have my eye on this beauty for Nebraska Furniture Mart.

It's the perfect height for a changing top, and those top drawers have colored panels that can be changed out, though we love the grey.

We're also thinking that the accents will be mostly wood and white. These items below are my current inspiration. There's not a ton of space in the room so we don't want to overwhelm it with decor, but we both really like the following things for our little man.

We're going to do something like this with his initials or Wes over the crib, but probably in white letters. Those are ALMOST his initials. :)

This is the bedding I want for him so badly, but it's not cheap!

Craving: Not really craving, but have been eating a lot of chocolate lately. Shame.

Symptoms: Heartburn. It's the worst. Coupled with my sore back this week and we're in good shape...

Ryan is: talking to his little man like he's already here and helping make decisions about the nursery. Tomorrow our carpets get cleaned so we can start setting things up to prepare for Wesson! Ryan has been such a rock through this entire journey. I am so thankful to the LORD that He picked Ryan for me. He knew what he was doing that's for sure.

Looking forward to: Decorating the nursery, setting up the crib, registering, and preparing for our little man!

Best Moments: Since I'm still swooning from finding out Baby Nabs is a boy, that is the current best on our top chart. We get to see him again in 3 weeks because he was basically laying on his face and they couldn't get a good view of something they wanted to look at. DARN. I hate seeing my baby on the sonogram, said no mom ever.

{18 Week Bumpdate}

{18 Week Bumpdate}

Chalkboard Art:

Size of the Baby: A sweet potato - 5.6 inches, 6.7 ounces
Gender: Still unknown, but only 6 days until we find out!

Maternity Clothes: I am IN LOVE with my maternity jeans with the low rise panel from Old Navy. I am not nearly as in love with the full paneled jeans I got from there, but mainly they won't stay up. I'm hoping that's something a little dryer time can fix.

Movement: I felt Baby Nabs kick for the first time yesterday! It was the most amazing thing I have ever felt. I almost didn't believe it was REAL! I was pushing on my stomach in class and all of a sudden I felt three tiny kicks in a row. I thought it was a heartbeat at first, because they were so faint, but they stopped after three in a row, and I knew I had just felt the first kicks! Ryan was pretty jealous that I felt them and he didn't, so we laid on the couch and he pressed around. We think maybe he felt one, but we're not sure. I felt it too so I'm thinking we did, but it was just one small one.

Sleep: I have been sleeping fantastically. I have been having weird dreams though. Really weird. I haven't been having to get up to tinkle in the middle of the night either lately. Praise the LORD!

Missing: Nothing really.

Nursery: OMG big week for the Nabors family! Thanks to Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Mama McD bought us a glider and ottoman. It will be ready for pick up next week, and we bought our 4 in 1 convertible crib and toddler guard rail from Target yesterday during the Cyber Monday sales.
GLIDER!!!

Glider Lounging
Baby Nabors Crib - Delta Children's Haven 4-in-1 Convertible Crib

Craving: I ate almost a whole block of cheese in 2 days, but sadly I could totally be able to accomplish that even if I wasn't pregnant.

Symptoms: Lower back pain is the worst, and there is some tenderness in my tummy like I kicked butt in my core workout and am now sore. Sadly that is not the case. However, I did work it at the gym the other night for over an hour! I was feeling really energized! Don't worry - I didn't overdo it.

Ryan is: dying to feel more baby kicks, and glad that I've started the nesting process and can calm down a bit with needing to get the nursery ready. :)

Looking forward to: finding out the gender in 6 days! Is there really anything else that could make me more excited? Maybe the Gender Reveal Party the next day, but still knowing if Baby Nabs is a HE or a SHE is pretty dang exciting!

Best Moments: Feeling Baby Nabs kicking. Rocking maternity jeans on Thanksgiving giving me the extra stretch I was looking for for chow time. Buying a crib and glider! It's been an awesome week!

{17 Week Bumpdate}

{17 Weeks}

Chalkboard Art:

Size of the Baby: Onion - 5.1 Inches, 5.9 ounces
Gender: 14 days until we find out!

Maternity Clothes: The only non-maternity bottoms I can still fit into are my PJ pants, some workout pants, and my blue jean shorts as proved by this weekend's visit to Key West to see Ry's cousin get married. Otherwise, I have totally embraced my maternity low band jeans and black pants, and am very much into leggings, oversized shirts/sweaters, and all things loose and flowy.

Movement: I'm still not 100% sure if I'm feeling kicks, but I'm feeling some "fluttering" that people talk about. The best way to describe it is that it feels sort of like gas, but isn't that at all. :) I think I felt a definitive kick today, but it was just once and Naby stopped kicking or punching.

Sleep: I have been sleeping really well. I get sore being on one side too long as in my side just gets a little achey. I had to forgo sleeping with the snoogle this weekend while we were in Key West, but I substituted with a couple pillows. They were not nearly as good as the snoogle.

Missing: I am pleased to say nothing. Not a dang thing. This weekend at the wedding they offered brie and raspberry puff pastry bites, and I really wished I could have one of those, but I wasn't beside myself at the loss.

Nursery: Mom and I are going to check out Nebraska Furniture Mart on Wednesday to see if we can find any good gliders or maybe something that might go on Black Friday sale, so we hope to have some good luck. Wish us luck!

Craving: Still nothing. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving food, though!

Symptoms: My abdomen area felt like I had done a hard work out at the beginning of this week, but has since relaxed. Naby is getting crowded in there and needs some space. Hello expanding belly.

Ryan is: already very in love with our little Naby. He practiced with his cousins' kiddos this weekend and, I must say, was quite a natural. He's going to be such a great Daddy. I am such a lucky girl.

Looking forward to: 1) finding out the sex of the baby (DUH!), 2) hopefully finding a glider at Nebraska Furniture Mart this week, and 3) introducing Baby Nabs to Thanksgiving tasties! Hopefully I won't feel weird like I did a bit this weekend and not feel like eating.

Best Moments: Seeing Ry talk to our baby and kiss it hasn't gotten old yet. It still makes me melt. This weekend I truly felt pregnant at the wedding when we were dancing. Baby Nabs was sitting directly on my bladder and despite my efforts to get my groove on, Baby Nabs insisted that too much bouncing would only lead to my needing to use the restroom more.

{16 Week Bumpdate}

{16 Week Bumpdate}

Chalkboard Art:

Size of the baby: Avocado - 4.6 inches, 3.5 ounces

Gender: 20 days until we find out. No more dreams about gender up to this point either. Be sure to cast your vote on the sidebar to the right. :)

Maternity Clothes: Most of my pre-pregnancy pants are no longer actually fitting unless they have a stretchy waistband. Some of my pants with stronger zippers are keeping my pants together, though, so I can still wear them. Most of the time I wear them with a rubber band to keep them shut, my Belly Band, or just give in and wear the maternity clothes. I did buy two pairs of maternity jeans, and some maternity black pants from Old Navy. The jeans have a low band, not the one that goes all the way up your belly, and they are SO comfortable. I am pleased!

Movement: I have been feeling what can only be described as "pressure" in different places in my tummy at different times. Some people have said perhaps I'm feeling "fluttering", but I'm not 100% sure it's that. I would like to think so though! It's unlike anything I've ever felt before, so that's likely what it is, but I'm looking forward to the movements becoming more regular and knowing for sure what they are. Baby Nabs definitely didn't like me laying on my tummy at the gym the other day. Must have been crowding the Naby!

Sleep: I have been sleeping really well now that I have given in to the power of the snoogle. :) I do unfortunately still wake up in the middle of the night because I have to go to the restroom.

Missing: Not really missing anything except my old waistline. :)

Nursery: We've looked at a couple of things for the nursery, but everything will be easier to decide when we know if Naby is a he or a she. Mama McD is getting us a glider for Christmas, so we have been looking at gliders and trying to find one we like without breaking the bank. Easier said than done; they are expensive!

Craving: I wouldn't say I've been dying to have anything particular, but I'm nearly certain I could eat breakfast for dinner every single night, or at least eggs, bacon, and french toast. However, and Ryan can attest to this, I would have done that even before I was pregnant. Haha.

Symptoms: Other than my growing belly, my skin has been drier which is normal due to the cold weather and because my skin on my belly is apparently getting thinner as Naby gets bigger. I am no longer really congested like I was last week, and I'm feeling way more up to being active. I still pretty much crash on the weekends. Sunday I practically slept the entire day and had no problem sleeping through the night like I anticipated.

Ryan is: still counting down the days until he finds out whether we will have a daughter or a son. It's weird saying things like that, but it makes it feel even more real. He's been talking to Baby Nabs because he or she was able to start hearing things, so they have nearly nightly conversations which is of course adorable. He's going to be such a good Dad! I am a lucky wife.

Looking forward to: seeing Naby get bigger and bigger, and finding out whether it's a she or he! We're having a gender reveal on December 8th for our family and some friends. I can't wait to share the news with them either. I'm also looking forward to starting the nesting process with the nursery. We're hoping our landlord will clean our carpets before we start moving things into that room so we have fresh paint on the walls and clean floors to work with! There's nothing like a fresh start to get you excited for the future!

Best Moments: I have enjoyed my 2nd trimester so far so much better than the first. I feel more like myself, and haven't been nearly as sick. I've even been up to working out several times a week. I am also not eating like a crazy person which is nice because I still feel some sanity and control over my body. I will have no problem giving into the hunger when it strikes, though. It's my job to feed our growing babe and one I am grateful to have. Other than than, I have adored praying with Ryan for our babe and seeing him talk to my growing belly. My heart feels so full this week.

Since I'm a little behind, today marks Week 17, so be on the lookout for a blogpost for the 17 Week Bumpdate soon!

{15 Week Bumpdate}

15 Week Bumpdate

Size of the baby: Navel Orange - 4.0 inches and 2.5 ounces
This is as compared to a hand, so about the size of my palm. :)

Gender: Still unknown. We had our 16 week appointment today and our OBGYN, who is wonderful by the way, tried to help us out and see if we could catch a sneak peek today. She got us in for a quick, unofficial sono, but the stinker had the cord between his or her legs and wasn't moving around much so we'll have to wait until our next appointment which is 4 agonizing weeks away on December 7th! Cast your votes now! Take the poll on the right!
Maternity Clothes: Still rocking mostly my pre-pregnancy clothes. Still fitting into my "fat" jeans which is nice to not have to have bought any pregnancy jeans yet, but as the bump is bound to pop out soon I know that is certainly coming! Lose things definitely feel the most comfortable too. Thank goodness it's fall in Texas!

Movement: I am so anxious with not being able to feel our baby moving around that I get paranoid every time I feel something strange. I am eager to feel our baby kicking around in there, but am trying to enjoy each week as it comes.

Sleep: I have slept SO WELL this week. The snoogle and I a have become one and I am no longer trying to break free of it's grip. That or I've just admitted to myself, and now all of you, that sleeping with the snoogle has made me the slightest bit more comfortable. Just the slightest bit. I hear it gets better. ;) The only part of sleeping I don't love is having to get up EVERY SINGLE NIGHT in the middle of the night to pee.
Story. Of. My. Life.
Missing: Nothing really. I am grateful!

Craving: Still no cravings, and haven't been eating ravenously either. Naby and I are just relaxing this week. :)

Symptoms: I was hoping my morning sickness was nearly gone, but then I hurled... in my car. Thank goodness for my idea to put trash bags in my center console and the shoulder of the highway in traffic. Luckily, that was just one day out of the week that I felt bad, so maybe it is subsiding after all!

Ryan is: anxious to find out the sex of the baby. Me too, man, me too!

Looking forward to: seeing a real "baby bump" in the next few weeks and feeling movement from Naby!

Best Moments: I held up a raspberry I was eating the other day and had to stop in awe that not too long ago our Naby was that big, and it's 4x that big now. I don't know how you can't believe in God when you see a baby grow. He is so good! I am learning to trust Him with our child while he or she is growing. Because I can't feel him or her yet, I get so anxious anytime I feel something out of the ordinary and Ryan has to reassure me that the Lord is knitting our baby together perfectly and that I need to trust and be calm in that peace. It is so hard some days!

{14 Week Bumpdate}

Since releasing the news that we are pregnant I have been excited to do this little segment on my blog... especially because it's been something basically non-existent these days. I'm hoping that blogging about this will keep me motivated to blog more often! Without further ado - the Bumpdates!

14 Week Bumpdate

Size of the baby: Lemon - 3.4 inches. Ryan and I were at Target on Thursday and I held a lemon up to my tummy. It was a little surreal that something that small or large (however you look at it) is in there!

Gender: Currently unknown, but you better believe we are counting down the weeks until we can find out what Baby Nabs will be! It's crazy to think that whatever it is, it's already growing the important female or male anatomy. God is amazing in His creation.

Maternity Clothes: Ryan let me buy 4 things from H&M's maternity brand called MAMA and they arrived yesterday! I got two dresses that will be good for everyday wear or can be dressed up for nicer events like the wedding we're going to in November. Other than that I'm wearing mostly lose fitting shirts which are conveniently in style and stretchy pants, though some of my pre-preggy pants are still fitting especially when I wear my belly band and don't have to button them. :)

Movement: There are times I think I'm feeling something, or I get uncomfortable for a brief moment, but it's still too early to REALLY feel anything. Though, I'm nearly certain as I was leaning over for something in my classroom the other day I got kicked or punched.

Sleep: 2 weeks ago Ryan bought me a snoogle since you're technically not supposed to sleep on your back after the 1st trimester. I'm still getting used to practically having a 3rd person in the bed with us, and this week I've noticed that I wake up somehow on my back, but I think it'll get more and more comfortable as I expand. I had my first weird dream last night, and had my first dream about the sex of our baby. Conveniently Ryan had a dream about the sex of our baby. Unfortunately, his was a girl and mine was a boy. Lucky for us, one of us will be right!
[Snoogle]

Missing: The only thing I'm really missing is raw fish like in sushi, but since I can have sushi that doesn't contain that (and there is actually quite a bit of that!) I don't really miss it.

Craving: I haven't really had cravings, mainly aversions. I have had some things that have sounded pretty dang good like curried deviled eggs from Sissy's Southern Kitchen, and my mom's potato salad, but nothing that I had to have or I would die.

Symptoms: Still having a morning sickness periodically even though I'm taking medicine at night to try to put those symptoms at bay. Otherwise feeling great and way more energized than the first trimester.

Ryan is: still really excited that we are pregnant and anxious to find out the sex of the baby.

Looking forward to: finding out what our little love bug is: boy or girl! Cast your votes now. :) Also looking forward to feeling movement in the next few weeks and sharing that joy with Ry.

Best Moments: Most nights Ryan tucks me in because I go to sleep pretty early these days and he kisses me then the baby, aka my belly, goodnight. It is so stinking sweet.

These weeks seem to be flying by! I can't believe we're already in the 2nd trimester. Thank you for all the support we've received over the past few weeks. We are so grateful!
